Although I am disappointed with the final results, we sometimes forget that not everyone living in California are liberal minded. Look how many counties voted "Yes".
The influx of Mormons petitioning for the ban and the excessive amount of money they put into their ad campaign paid off. That was their plan, according to my uncle who is a devout Mormon. Most people don't know that a part of my extended family on my father's side are Mormon. During the rare family visits, my brother and I find ourselves discussing their religious points of view versus ours and we've learned to respect each others' point of view and agree to disagree. Because in the end, change is inevitable and when it's time, it will happen.
